Eligibility Criteria:
Here are the following eligibility parameters set by Odisha Police: 

• Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed at least the Lower Primary 5th standard from a school  recognized by the School and Mass Education Department, Government of Odisha. 
• Age Limit: 20 to 60 years as of January 1, 2025. 
• Language Proficiency: Must be able to read, write, and speak Odia fluently.
  Selection Process:
• Written Examination: Basic aptitude, general awareness, and reasoning abilities. 
• Physical Endurance Test: Candidates may be required to pass a physical fitness test to qualify. 
• Preference for Skilled Candidates: Special preference will be given to applicants with prior work experience in trades such as driving, plumbing, electrical work, cooking, carpentry, etc.

  Salary:
• Selected candidates  will receive a daily wage of Rs. 612. The salary is disbursed on a per-day basis (Per day for 8 hours of duty), ensuring timely compensation for their service.
  
  To apply for the Odisha Home Guard, candidates must submit the following self-attested documents:
• Domicile Certificate – Proof of residence in the respective district. 
• Educational Qualification Certificate – Proof of having at least the 5th standard from a recognized board or the highest qualification attained.
• Proof of Age – Such as Birth Certificate or  Matriculation Certificate or Aadhaar Card or any government-issued age-proof document.
• Experience & Skills (if available) – Certificate for Driving, electrician, plumbing, cooking, computer training, masonry etc. 
• Identity Proof (Any One) – Aadhaar Card, Driving License, PAN Card, or Voter ID 
  How to Apply:
• Collect the Application Form: Forms are available at all police stations and out-posts in the respective districts. 
• Fill Out the Application Form: Entry accurate details and attach the necessary documents such as proof of age, educational certificates, and work experience (if available). 
• Submit the Application: The filled application form must be submitted to the respective police station before the last date.
